Sunamganj Science and Technology University

Prof. Dr. Md. Nizam Uddin serves as the Vice-Chancellor, while the university faces local opposition regarding the environmental impact of its proposed permanent campus site.

Youngest science and technology university in the Sylhet division, established in the haor belt of Sunamganj. Parliament passed the founding bill on 18 November 2020 (voice vote, moved by Education Minister Dipu Moni).
